School Music Ensemble perform at Cumberland International Women’s Day brunch

School Music Ensemble perform at Cumberland International Women’s Day brunch.

The Granville South Creative and Performing Arts High School Music Ensemble impressed all guests with their performances of "Hotel California" by the Eagles and "Don’t Stop Believin’" by Journey at Cumberland’s International Women’s Day brunch on Monday, 10 March 2025, held at The Holroyd Centre.

We are also proud to announce that the brunch, highlighting the global themes of International Women’s Day 2025, "Accelerate Action" and "March Forward," was hosted by Cumberland Mayor, Councillor Ola Hamed, who is also an alumna of Granville South Creative and Performing Arts High School. The event celebrated women’s achievements across various industries, amplified the message of empowerment, and encouraged all community members to take action toward gender equality.

Our Music Ensemble captivated the majority of guests, who danced along to their performances. The students’ behavior was outstanding, as they sat attentively throughout the entire agenda, willingly listening to the inspiring stories of the roles, achievements, and efforts of women across Cumberland.
