Our school is a Positive Behaviour for Learning school which means that our behaviour management, student recognition and school expectation systems are based on the PBL framework. As a PBL school and in line with this framework, we aim to maximise students’ learning outcomes by promoting positive student behaviour, having practices in place that maintain a climate of mutual respect and setting clear and concise expectations for student behaviour in all settings of our school.
Our school's core PBL values are the LEARN expectations (Listen, Equipped, Achieve, Respect and Responsibility and Never Give Up). These expectations are visible throughout the school environment and are explicitly taught at the commencement of each new term. Students are rewarded for their adherence to the school LEARN expectations through our merit system, where both their academic and citizenship achievements are recognised. Our Recognition Assembly, Presentation Day Assembly and the Principal’s Morning Tea are also part of celebrating student achievement and promoting PBL at GSCAPAHS.
