Granville South Creative and Performing Arts High School Presentation Day Assembly 2024.

On Thursday, 12 December, Granville South Creative and Performing Arts High School held its 2024 Presentation Day Assembly, featuring special guests, staff, students and parents. This event celebrated the academic achievements, successes and contributions of our school community throughout the year.

Attendance Awards

The Attendance Awards were presented to students who have achieved over 95% attendance this year.

Merit Awards

With the merit award system, students are encouraged to accumulate points by demonstrating academic improvement, consistent effort, classroom participation, community service, leadership across the whole school and high attendance. The award recipients who were recognised at the Presentation Day Assembly achieved a gold merit level.

The Ensemble Creative and Performing Arts Awards

At Granville South Creative and Performing Arts High School, students are offered the opportunity and the challenge to excel in one of five specialist gifted and talented areas, encompassing Circus, Dance, Drama, Music and Visual Art. Creative and Performing Arts Ensemble students attend weekly specialist rehearsals to create and deliver exceptional performances and moving visual artworks for a range of audiences.

Selective Creative and Performing Arts students represent our school in festivals, concerts and workshops, engaging with the professional creative industries and showcasing a wealth of technique and talent.

The students recognised at the assembly have been identified by their respective ensemble leaders as deserving of significant recognition for the enthusiasm, energy and effort that they have brought to the Creative and Performing Arts Ensembles Program in 2024. 

Students were also recognised for the following initiatives:

  • In the Spotlight Drama Festival
  • Our Spectacular Concert
  • Cantabile Music Festival
